Floodfill

Floodfill
Moves 0 / 0 · Par 0

Pick a colour to start your flood in the top-left corner.

How to play Floodfill

Floodfill is a free daily colour puzzle. Your flood starts in the top-left corner of a 12 by 12 board. Each time you pick a colour, your flood turns that colour and soaks up every touching square that matches. Keep going until the whole board is one colour.

The fewer moves you take, the better. Par is the best route our computer could find, so matching it is a proper achievement and beating it is a real brag.

Questions

Is Floodfill free?

Yes. It's free to play in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download and no sign-up.

When is there a new puzzle?

Every day at midnight, your time. Everyone gets the same board, so you can compare scores with friends.

Why is it called Floodfill?

Flood fill is what computer people call the trick behind a paint program's bucket tool: colour one square and it spreads to every touching square of the same colour. That's exactly what your moves do here.

Is it like Flood-It?

It's the same kind of flood-fill colour puzzle, with a daily board for everyone and a Wordle-style result to share.

Can I play more than once a day?

The daily puzzle is one go each, which keeps it fair. Once you're done, you can play as many practice boards as you like.

What if I'm colour-blind?

Tap the shapes button at the top, and every colour gets its own symbol.

Do you keep any of my data?

No. Your games and stats are saved only on your own device, in your browser, and there's no account. It's free because it shows adverts from Google; see privacy and cookies for how those work.
